The Italian Minister has announced the IMAT 2026 exam date, the test for admission to the courses in Medicine and Surgery and in Dentistry in English in Italy, and, starting from 2025, also to the single-cycle master’s degree program in Veterinary Medicine.

When is IMAT 2026? As stated in the notice published by the Minister, this year the date for the Medicine and Surgery test 2026 has been set for September. The exact date is: Wednesday, September 30, 2026.
The test modalities will be communicated soon.
How to Prepare for IMAT 2026/2027
Now that you know the date of the IMAT test, you can start planning your study. For preparing for IMAT 2025, we recommend:
- joining the WhatsApp group for IMAT, where you will meet many Italian and foreign students who dream of passing the exam. You can interact with them and receive support from WAU tutors;
- checking your preparation immediately with an IMAT simulation;
- retaking IMAT past papers. Go to the IMAT test archive;

- following a preparation course for the IMAT test, such as those organized by WAU.
